The design course is for those candidates who would like to advance their skills and gain a greater understanding of system design.
Candidates must already have a good working knowledge of current Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018+A1:2020) as well as a good background in calculating cable sizes and resistance values.
Ideally, candidates will also hold a C&G 2391 (or equivalent)
The course is based around a 3 hour written exam (open book) as well as a design project set by City and Guilds,
which on average should take approximately 20 hours of the candidates own time.
Candidates must have relevant experience before the design course enrolment (call to speak to Mike)
The course is over 15 weeks consisting of 1 evening a week.
Completed project is required 4 weeks after the course ends. If the project is not submitted in time, You cannot pass the qualification.
